Good morning all!

For the first time in about a month I’m back in the comfort of my bedroom, in all its glorious mess. I’ve been away on the road with my band completing the first headline tour in Wolf Gang history, playing in towns and cities up and down the nation, meeting people and drinking their beer.

It’s been a lot of fun, we’ve probably stepped into one too many student unions than is physically healthy for a non student, and maybe we should have kept the drunken pole dancing to a minimum…the skinny dipping should definitely have ended in disaster, but yeh, somehow we’re all still here.

It was great to take Kyla La Grange and Foreign Office out on tour with us too, both acts have a brilliantly unique sound that I thoroughly recommend checking out…Right so the tour was a success, I also had the massive pleasure of supporting The Killers at Hyde Park last Friday which was a pretty incredible experience, it was lovely to bound onto a stage that was huge, playing to a crowd that was huge. It was pissing down all day except for when we played, luck of the Irish that is. A good sign. Another good omen was when Michael Eavis took to the microphone seconds before we went onstage at Glastonbury and said a few words, but you can read more about that and the rest of the Glastonbury expedition in this little blog I wrote for ‘the alternite side

Last week I was in a beautiful part of Wales in a studio as a guest of friends The Naked And Famous who were there doing a spot of recording. I joined in and it sounded good, watch this space…You can check out pictures of the trip on my Facebook page.

I wanted to alert you to the 30 second clips of each song from the upcoming debut up on soundcloud that you can listen to, get you in the mood a bit for when your pre ordered copy reveals itself to you in full on the 27th…The first critical responses to come in have been great, it was given a really good ‘First Impressions’ review by the NME, and got four stars in Uncut. So definitely worth splashing out for then.

The upcoming single ‘The King And All Of His Men‘ can now be preordered on iTunes so get involved there too if you’re feeling fruity. There are some splendid remixes to accompany the single as well, notably ones by Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Fred Falke and Raffertie. Totally Enormous’s latest remix of Friendly Fires’ ‘Hawaiian Air’ is such a summer belter I couldn’t resist giving it a plug.

There’s a fairly busy summer up ahead now in terms of festivals, we’ve got Wakestock and T in the Park coming up this weekend, then V festival, Secret Garden Party and some of the European ones as well later this summer, it’s going to be great! But if you are a Londoner and wondering when we’re next playing locally then know that on the 25th July I’ll be holding The Barfly in Camden hostage for the night with my gang in association with Time Out. It’s not a massive venue so worth getting a ticket early on, which you can do here if you like.

That’s all from me for now, while I’m home I’m going to get busy on recording an acoustic version of the album, to have ready for your listening pleasure as soon as I can, be prepared! Right, time to lay down some guitar. Have a good week!

Presenting… Suego Faults   28.04.11

Hello!

I’m writing with the exciting news that you can all now pre order my debut album which is out on 11th July!

It’s been a long time coming, apologies for the tardiness if you picked up on Wolf Gang music a while back and have been wondering what the bloody hell I’ve been doing all this time, well, I’m just a perfectionist and so it took a while…

Anyway, I was sitting a couple of weeks back in a studio in New York listening to the whole thing getting mastered, and I have to say I don’t think it’s a bad effort for a debut, so go on and try it out, here are the links (Play | Amazon) – get ordering!

If you want to hear some samples of what’s on there then you can have a listen below…

In other news I’m gearing up for a music video shoot next week, for my next single. I’ll be releasing a song called ‘The King And All Of His Men’ which was actually released in another form about a year ago on the indie label Hit Club, some of you may be familiar with that version…

Well, if you are, prepare to have your socks blown off and your brain rewired as you hear the new version from the album, it’s a bit of a banger! It’s coming out in June, shortly before the album…

And again, want to add that if you fancy coming to see me play live with my band, we’ll be embarking on a tour in may, stopping off here and there at various festivals, so if you are around, get in touch and catch a show.
